Shamik Sanyal is a Conservation filmmaker and topside wildlife cameraman based in India.

Shamik's work has a particular focus on Science driven Conservation Stories and on long lens camerawork. He is experienced in researching and filming a variety of animal behaviour and Conservation & Science stories for both broadcast and NGOs, and has worked with a diverse range of clients, including Disney+ Hoststar, Discovery Network, Quint, Salt Media, Zoological Survey of India, National Mission for Himalayan Studies, and more.

One of Shamik's strengths is his ability to work in remote and lesser-known locations. He has filmed in some of India's most pristine and untouched wilderness areas, such as the Snow Leopards in Spiti Valley to the remote forests of the Eastern Himalayas. He is also experienced in working with lesser-known species of wildlife, such as the newly described species of macaque, the Sela Macaque, which is found only in a small region of Arunachal Pradesh.

His ability to capture the beauty and complexity of India's lesser-known wilderness areas and species, and his work serves to raise awareness and promote conservation efforts for some of the most precious and endangered species in the world. See More..
